Maurizio Piedra

Maurizio is the Development Manager for the Caribbean and Latin America, responsible for executing the growth strategy of all brands across this region. He started his career in hotel investment sales and later transitioned into an asset management role, responsible for a portfolio of 11 hotels across the United States with all major hotel brands. In his previous roles, he successfully developed the real estate growth strategy for other international brands, like Sonder and Hilton, in Florida and the Caribbean. Maurizio is originally from Peru and is an economist by profession. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his friends, discovering the culinary scene of the places he visits, and going for morning runs.

Fabrizio Piolanti

Fabrizio Piolanti is Director Development for Italy at IHG^®, one of the world’s leading hotel companies. He is responsible for the expansion of IHG’s brand portfolio in Italy.

Fabrizio boasts an extensive knowledge of the Italian market with over 15 years of experience in corporate roles, operations, and consulting. Prior to IHG, he was Development Director at Marriott International and has executed both limited and premium brands projects, in urban and resort destinations. He also gained experience in EY’s and JLL’s Hospitality teams in Milan, where he led multiple operator selection processes, valuations, feasibility studies and transaction assignments.

Fabrizio holds a master’s degree in Tourism economics from Bocconi University in Milan.

 

Marie Richard

Marie Richard est Directrice, développement portefeuille et Directeur des ventes chez IHG® Luxury Alliances pour les portefeuilles et les Alliances stratégiques en Europe chez IHG®, l'un des premiers groupes hôteliers au monde. À l'échelle paneuropéenne, Marie est responsable du développement de toute l’enseigne IHG en collaboration avec les développeurs régionaux IHG pour toutes les offres de portefeuilles et alliances stratégiques, notamment les partenariats de développement multi-pays ou les offres de luxe complexes.

Prior to IHG, Marie worked for Jin Jiang / Louvre Hotels Group for seven years where she had a progressive career from an International Development Analyst to Asset & Investment Manager and was most recently an M&A Manager, where she worked on several portfolio acquisitions for the group in Europe and Brazil. She was also in charge of International Operations for South America and India, in coordination with local operational offices.

Marie is an Honours graduate of HEC Paris Business School in France where she followed a Master in Management in Corporate Finance.

Michelle Richard

Réputée pour le développement commercial chez IHG Hotels and Resorts, elle se concentre sur la croissance de l'enseigne IHG aux États-Unis et au Canada. Avec plus d’une décennie d’expérience chez IHG, il a précédemment été consultant qualité et directeur régional des ouvertures de franchises.

Élément clé du lancement des hôtels Garner , Sam a joué un rôle essentiel dans l’ouverture réussie du premier établissement à Auburn, Washington, en décembre 2023. Il excelle dans la gestion de projets, les stratégies de développement et la construction de relations solides avec le propriétaire de l'hôtel.

Avant de rejoindre IHG, Sam a travaillé comme consultant en qualité pour LRA/Deloitte et a occupé plusieurs postes d’exploitation au sein de Fairmont, Westin et W Hotels. 

Sam est titulaire d'un diplôme en gestion hôtelière de l'Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec et d'une licence en gestion commerciale avec une majeure en gestion hôtelière et tourisme de l'Université du Québec à Montréal.

Sam réside à Cochrane, près de Calgary en Alberta, au Canada. Pendant son temps libre, Sam aime la randonnée et le ski de fond dans les Rocheuses canadiennes, ainsi que la cuisine, le jardinage et les voyages.

Misty Roe

Misty Roe supports the development functions for IHG’s upscale brands in the northeast, southeast and midwestern United States. She assists in identifying new development opportunities and retaining existing assets in IHG’s portfolio. Prior to joining IHG, Misty worked on the Franchise Development team at Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, respectively. In her personal time, Misty enjoys gathering with her family and friends, taking her dog to get fresh air at the park, and lending a helping hand to local animal rescue groups.

Philip Ryan

Philip Ryan is Director of Development for Japan and Director of Capital Investments & Transactions for Asia Pacific. Based in Tokyo, he is responsible for working with hotel investors and owners on new hotels and conversions and executing IHG’s strategic growth in Japan and the region.

Merve Sakaoglu

Merve Sakaoglu est responsable du développement pour la Türkiye chez IHG Hotels & Resorts, l'une des principales sociétés hôtelières au monde. 

Dans son rôle, Merve est le moteur de l’expansion du portefeuille d’enseignes IHG dans tout le pays, notamment des opportunités de luxe, haut de gamme et grand public par le biais de structures commerciales gérées et franchisées. 

Avec plus de 15 ans d’expérience dans le secteur hôtelier, Merve a occupé différents postes de direction d’exploitation au sein d’enseignes de renommée mondiale telles que Marriott, Shangri-La, Raffles et Accor. Au siège d'Accor à Türkiye, elle a joué un rôle essentiel dans la supervision des normes de fonctionnement à l'échelle nationale, tout en apportant un soutien significatif aux initiatives de développement du groupe. 

Merve est titulaire d'un permis de la prestigieuse université d'Hacettepe et a perfectionné son expertise en marketing en poursuivant ses études à Oxford.  

Abhijay Sandilya

Abhijay Sandilya is Managing Director - Japan at IHG®, one of the world’s leading hotel companies. He is responsible for the company’s strategic growth, performance and operations in Japan.

Prior to taking on this role in October 2021, Abhijay spent nearly 6 years with IHG in Australia where he most recently led IHG’s Development team as VP Development - Japan, Australasia, Pacific. Together with his team in Sydney and Tokyo, he was responsible for IHG’s biggest years of signings and openings on record in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, New Caledonia and Micronesia – signing almost 60 deals and reshaping the JAPAC region from 60 operating hotels in 2016 to more than 140 open and pipeline hotels today.

Key signings in his time with IHG have included the Appi Kogen portfolio, IHG’s biggest conversion deal in more than a decade in Japan, the first voco and Vignette Collection hotels globally, and market entries for Hotel Indigo, Kimpton and Regent.

Prior to his time at IHG, Abhijay worked for Whitbread PLC and the Jumeirah Group in Singapore and Dubai holding key leadership positions working on hotel real estate acquisitions for the groups working across markets in the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific regions.

Abhijay has lived and worked in eight countries and holds a Master’s degree from Erasmus University’s Rotterdam School of Management.

Stacy Soffer

Stacy est directeur du développement et accompagne la croissance du Luxury & Lifestyle et de la marque Premium dans la région du nord-est des États-Unis. Elle a également travaillé pour Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants où elle s’est concentrée sur la croissance et la conservation du portefeuille Kimpton via la recherche, l’évaluation et la recherche de nouvelles opportunités de franchise et de gestion aux États-Unis, au Canada, au Mexique et aux Caraïbes. Avant de rejoindre Kimpton, Stacy était directrice de la planification du développement et de la faisabilité chez Marriott International où elle a supervisé la rédaction et les renseignements commerciaux des hôtels afin de soutenir les opportunités de développement, de conversion et de rénovation/repositionnement des nouveaux hôtels. Stacy a commencé sa carrière dans l'hôtellerie chez Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide où elle a assumé de nouvelles responsabilités, notamment au sein de l'équipe de développement mondiale et en tant que directrice adjointe de la faisabilité, du développement et de l'analyse des investissements du Nord. Stacy est titulaire d'une licence du Alfred Lerner College of Business and Économies à l'Université du Delaware. Stacy habite au Connecticut avec son mari et ses deux jeunes fils. Pendant son temps libre, Stacy aime faire du plein air, faire de la randonnée, jardiner et visiter la plage.
