The HUALUXE brand has hallmarks that reflect local customs and traditions. HUALUXE Hotels and Resorts, designed to offer the guest a more traditional experience, is based on four priorities that Chinese travelers want from an upscale hotel:
Tradition - Long-celebrated traditions are reflected from the physical hotel design to the customary tea ceremony.
Rejuvenation - Natural surroundings to ensure guests are reinvigorated for the challenges ahead.

IHG is already the largest international hotel operator in China, with more than 180 hotels across 60 cities, and sees the opportunity for this brand to be in over 100 cities in China in the next 15-20 years. HUALUXE properties, in time, will open in major cities elsewhere in the world so that Chinese travelers can have the same experience abroad.
This brand will follow the IHG managed operating model, similar to its other IHG brands currently operating in China. IHG has fifteen signed management contracts in the first nine months since the brand launch and expects the first hotel to be open in late 2013 or early 2014.
