German manages the growth and development of IHG’s preferred brands in Mexico. An experienced hospitality professional, he has excelled in various roles within the hospitality industry, including operations, sales and marketing, development, and corporate. Before joining IHG, German spent 11 years at Optima Hoteles de México, a multi-brand developer and management company, where he developed and managed IHG, Marriott, and Hilton-branded hotels. A graduate of the University of Guadalajara with a degree in Business Administration, German continued his professional development by completing Cornell University’s Advanced Management Program. A true industry leader, German is a four-time president of the Guadalajara and Monterrey chapters of the Skal International Club, a professional organization of tourism leaders. Fueled by a passion for food, German loves spending time cooking on the grill as well as learning about different cultures and traveling.
