Paul Adan
Paul Adan is the Regional Senior Vice President of Development for IHG Hotels and Resorts for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean region, and is based in Miami, Florida. Paul is responsible for hotel development and retention for all of IHG brands in the region.
Mr. Adan is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and brings 25+ years of experience within the international hospitality industry, working extensively across the Americas and the Caribbean.
Mr. Adan began his career with Hilton International, working with their Board of Directors on the development of the group's properties in Brazil. Since then, Paul has held executive positions with Meliá Inversiones Americanas, Sol Meliá, NH Hoteles, CB Richard Ellis, Amerisud, Marriott International and Radisson Hotel Group Americas, working on development deals from all perspectives. Paul has focused his career to hospitality development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Paul brings an intimate knowledge of the hotel industry coupled with fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
David Bingham
David steers the development of IHG’s mainstream hotel brands throughout Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and northern Texas. A seasoned professional with 24 years of experience at IHG, David began his career in operations with Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels before transitioning to the corporate office, where he rose through positions within quality and franchise licensing before earning a leadership role with franchise development. Positioning himself early for a successful career within hospitality, David earned a BA in Hospitality Management from Birmingham City University in England. David is an avid foodie, rugby fan, and enjoys visiting new and exciting destinations.
Mike Castro
Mike Castro focus on development opportunities for IHG’s mainstream brands in the Northwest U.S. Prior to IHG, Castro was Senior Vice President of Franchise Development for Sonesta Hotels & Resorts in the United States and Canada where he led the company’s sales team and brand growth through franchising. With more than 35 years of experience in hospitality, Castro has an extensive background in franchise sales for both conversion and new construction hotels, in hotel management and franchise services.
Oscar Chavez
Oscar is responsible for driving the growth of IHG’s preferred brands across Mexico. His duties include promoting IHG’s brand portfolio, prospecting investors, acquiring and developing hotels, and executing management and franchise contracts. Over his 25-year hospitality industry career, Oscar has held positions within commercial, marketing, and hotel development and acquisitions with leading hotel companies including IHG, Starwood, Accor, and Posadas Group. He’s also played key roles in the planning, launch, and promotion of notable hotel brands in Mexico and Cuba, such as Ibis Hotels, Golden Tulip, One Hotels, Aloft, and Krystal Urban Hotels. Oscar holds an undergraduate degree in Tourism Administration from the Technologic University of Mexico and a post-graduate degree in Human Resources Management and a diploma in Finance from Panamerican University. When in need of excitement, Oscar enjoys coaching and playing flag football and soccer with his three daughters as well as touring through Mexico with his wife.

Dan focuses on development opportunities for IHG’s mainstream brands in the western region. Prior to IHG, Dan gained valuable franchise sales experience with the Cendant/Wyndham Company. Before shifting to the hotel industry, he spent 20 years in sales positions with leading golf brands Callaway Golf, Wilson Golf, and Cleveland/Srixon Golf, where he contributed to some of the industry’s most innovative product launches. Residing in Scottsdale with his wife and children, Dan enjoys golfing, hiking, and exploring the Arizona outdoors. He attends Highlands Church with his family and volunteers with Feed My Starving Children. He also enjoys serving at Night to Shine sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Scott Duff is Vice President of Development leading the growth of IHG’s brands across Canada. Scott has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, focused on development within Canada including 8 years with Choice Hotels and 11 years with Starwood Hotels + Resorts. Scott has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and completed the Advanced Management Program – Hospitality Industry from the University of Guelph. A native Canadian, Scott lives in the Toronto area with his family.

John directs the expansion of IHG’s mainstream brands in southern Texas. Over his 22 years with IHG, he has developed hotels throughout America’s heartland in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. A lifelong hotel industry professional, John previously served as the Director of Franchise Sales and Development, Mountain Region, for Wyndham Hotels (previously HFS, Inc.). Outside of the office, John spends his free time with his five children and traveling to new destinations.

Estefania joined IHG in 2013 as an assistant in Development upon graduating from Universidad de Guadalajara with a degree in tourism administration. As a business development manager, she supports franchise sales and development in Mexico for the growth of all brands across the country. Her duties also include driving strategic negotiations of all retentions in Mexico, Latin America & the Caribbean. Estefania is originally from California but moved to Mexico at the age of 5. She enjoys soccer, painting, discovering new restaurants, and traveling with her daughters and partner.
Pedro Freire
Pedro Freire has over 20 years of significant experience in the hotel industry.
Before joining IHG team, Pedro was a Vice President of Asset Management at hotelAVE. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the company´s assignments throughout Latin America, which included All-Inclusive and luxury resorts and hotels, totaling more than $1 billion invested and encompassing three thousand keys.
Before hAVE, Pedro has worked for near 15 years at JLL, where he oversaw the Advisory, Asset Management and Investment Sales activities for Hotels & Hospitality team in Brazil. With JLL, Pedro has participated of a wide-variety of valuations and feasibility studies, as well as operator selection processes, management and franchise contract negotiations and asset management assignments, ranging from budget and limited-service properties to luxury hotels and branded residences, destination all-inclusive resorts and luxury second homes in Brazil, Mexico and other Latin American countries.
Additionally, he has been involved in hotel transactions, capital raising and IPO processes related to the development of hotels and resorts with branded residences and second homes.
Prior to joining JLL, Pedro worked as Manager, Acquisitions & Development – Latin America for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he participated in franchise and management agreements negotiations and prepared market research and financial analysis for investment opportunities in Brazil and Latin America.
Previously, Pedro worked as sales account executive at the Gran Meliá Mofarrej in São Paulo, Brazil and as a Revenue Management trainee at Marriott Brazil.
Pedro has also completed hotel operations internships at the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria in Rome, Italy and at the Hotel Astor in Switzerland.
Pedro has a MBA from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo and graduated with Merit from the Les Roches International School of Hotel Management School in Switzerland. He has also undertaken further study in Real Estate Investment, in the Professional Development Program, at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil. He is proficient in Portuguese and English, fluent in Spanish and communicates well in French and Italian.
In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and friends. He also likes running and walking, watching movies, reading, and traveling.
